Fall Bulb Planting

September 21, 2021

Spring bulbs such as daffodils, tulips, and hyacinth are best to plant in the Fall. Why? After remaining dormant all summer, as the nights begin to cool and the rain falls, roots begin to emerge using all of their stored energy. They will continue to root until the ground freezes, using molecules to protect their roots from freezing and will continue to do so until they bloom in the spring!
