Yucca Elephantipes

The spineless Yucca is a native plant of Guatemala and southeast Mexico. It’s a great choice for beginners because it’s easy to care for, dry tolerant, pest resistant and a slow grower. The long, pointed leaves are about a foot or more in length and about an inch wide.

LIGHT

Yuccas grow best in bright, indirect light. It will survive in lower light, but cut back on your watering. The plant will be even slower to produce new leaves in low to medium light conditions. An ideal location is near a west, east or south-facing window.

WATER

A Yucca likes to be kept dry so allow at least the top 50% of the soil to dry out before watering. Too much water is the main and probably the only way to kill a Yucca Plant.
