Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, Snake Plant

Sansevieria Trifasciata

One of the most happy-go-lucky plant you could grow. It is also described as an indestructible plant that can tolerate neglect by responding to good care by growing sturdy, sword-shaped laves, which often are edged with yellow or white. Clean them periodically with a damp cloth to maintain that glossy sheen. As the plant gets older, it sometimes produces clusters of white flowers in Winter.

LIGHT

This plant can be placed anywhere in a room from the darkest corner to the brightest window. The better the light, the faster it will grow.

WATER

Content divider

Over-watering is the main reason a Sansevieria Plant would die. Allow the soil to completely dry out before watering. During the Winter, in a low light area, a Sansevieria Plant needs water only once a month.

When in doubt, DO NOT water your Sansevieria!

FERTILIZING

Content divider

From late Spring through Fall, feed month with a well- balanced houseplant fertilizer mixed at ½ half the recommended strength. In the Winter, don’t feed.
