The Pachira aquatica commonly known as the Money Tree originally came from the wetlands in Central and South America. The tree has a central trunk made of three, five or more stems that are often braided together. The top of the Money Tree has the “lucky” 5 lobed leaf arrangement. As the plant matures, it makes an impressive tree often reaching a height of six feet or more. Some people believe that a Pachira aquatica plant, when properly placed in a home, brings prosperity and good fortune.
