Penn State Extension: Workshops for the Gardener: Succulent Savvy – $20


Join us to learn about the wonderful world of succulents with Workshops for the Gardener: Succulent Savvy! This diverse group of plants are easy to grow with a few basic strategies.
 

Topics covered include popular varieties of succulents, light and soil requirements, and avoiding common problems and pests. Special attention will be given to propagation of succulents to share with friends. Every participant will take home plants, soil, and a container to assemble their own succulent garden.

    Penn State Extension: TapTalk - Drowning in Plastic - FREE


    Plastic has become a major part of our lives. It wraps our food, it’s in our clothing. But how does plastic effect our waterways? This Master Watershed Steward TapTalk - Drowning in Plastic will discuss the concerns that surround microplastics, how they effect our environment, and what is being done to combat this current issue.

     

    At this TapTalk, participants will learn about protecting our environment from plastic waste. Penn State Drinking Water and Pond Water Test Kits will be made available for participants.

Join us for Galentine Tea and Succulent Charms workshop, where you can enjoy a night out that is sure to be full of information, fun, and laughs. Master Gardener, Ruth Osborn, will give a short presentation on growing and care of succulent teas, followed by a hands-on planting session with a take home teacup full of succulent love.

    Join Primex staff and learn the art of Japanese hanging-string gardens. Based on a form of bonsai, these moss covered hanging orbs make wonderful living gifts. No green thumb or experience required! This class is hands on, so prepare to get a little dirty!

    • Step-by-step instructions in creating and caring for your kokedama
    • Expert information about indoor plants
