Orchids Are Different, But Not Difficult – $45

Ever wanted to grow an orchid or have already taken the plunge and are enjoying their beauty? Beth, a third-generation orchid grower from Waldor Orchids, will be discussing the basic culture information on how orchids are unusual and exotic, but relatively easy to grow. As part of Beth’s lecture, she will give a hands-on demonstration on how to repot an orchid. You will receive an orchid to repot and take home with you! Please feel free to bring any of your orchids in to find the diagnoses of the sick orchid; questions tending to the sick orchid will be answered at the end of the lecture.

** Please RSVP by Wednesday, January 10th. Space is limited and registration is required! You must pay in advance. Register in the store or by calling (215) 887 – 7500. **

Penn State Extension: Emerald Ash Borer and Spotted Lanternfly Workshop - $40

Spotted lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect that has spread throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and nearby states. It threatens grapes, hardwoods, tree fruit, hops, landscapes and the nursery industry. Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive insect of North American ash trees which has caused widespread ash tree decline and mortality throughout northeastern North America. The Emerald Ash Borer and Spotted Lanternfly Workshop will review the life cycle of the SLF and EAB. This training provides ISA and Pesticide Applicators CEU credits.
