Hypertufa Class with Louise Clarke – $60
New Class! Join horticulturist Louise Clarke for a delightfully messy, hands-on hypertufa trough-making workshop. Hypertufa is a lightweight, porous concrete mixture made from Portland cement, peat, and perlite. Your finished 13” x 8” weatherproof container will welcome plants that like well-drained conditions such as sedums, hens and chicks, cacti, and rock garden plants. Ideal for those with limited space, troughs can be planted as miniature gardens or to display choice specimens. Your instructor will provide individual attention and step-by-step instructions from mixing and molding to after care. Bring a pair of heavyweight kitchen gloves and wear clothes that can get dirty. You will take your trough home in its mold, and unmold it 2-3 days later to finish it. This is a 2 hour class.
** Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 28th. Space is limited and registration is required! You must pay in advance. Register in the store or by calling (215) 887 – 7500. **
