Fruit Trees with Anne Myers – $10


Learn how to care for your home orchard including: planting, pruning, pest & disease controls. Dress warm for a hands-on pruning demonstration in our nursery. Feel free to bring along photos of your backyard fruit trees and Anne will help to decide what should be pruned out for better fruit production.

    Proper Care of Woody Ornamentals is part of the Berks County Master Gardeners' Spring Gardening Series. Trees and shrubs are an investment, learn the skills to keep them healthy and beautiful in your landscape!
     

    The Master Gardeners will cover choosing the right plant for the right place, dealing with insects and diseases, pruning, and the impact of altered environmental changes to current and future plantings. Some of the plants to be highlighted are azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, lilacs, and forsythia.
