Designed to increase working-tree knowledge and professional arborist skills, successful completion of the four-day Arborist Short Course will prepare participants for the ISA Certified Arborist exam, as well as improve their marketability.
Today there is an increased awareness by homeowners and municipalities for the need of trained and knowledgeable tree care workers. The green industry has responded to this demand for trained professionals by creating certification programs, such as the Arborist Short Course.

Penn State Extension: Build a Window Birdhouse – $25
Build a Window Birdhouse workshop will give you a bird’s-eye view of avian life by creating your own nesting box. Three large suction cups will attach to your window, allowing you to observe the birds nesting from the comfort of your home. Watch the process of nest building, to egg laying, to the chicks hatching. A great project to build for your children or for yourself!
This Spring, give your flying friends a place to eat! We will make a recycled bird feeder made from a repurposed box and we will decorate with other recycled and natural materials including: sticks, buttons, leaves, paper, etc. Feel free to bring in other material to share with the class! This program is recommended for ages 3-7.
