The Master Gardeners will cover choosing the right plant for the right place, dealing with insects and diseases, pruning, and the impact of altered environmental changes to current and future plantings. Some of the plants to be highlighted are azaleas, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, lilacs, and forsythia.
Pruning Woody Plants will begin indoors with classroom instruction that is specific to changes in pruning practice and research. Participants will then apply their knowledge outdoors while pruning shrubs. Please bring pruning hand tools and dress for all weather – rain, snow, or sunshine.
