The Community Design Collaborative has been providing pro bono predevelopment design services to nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia area since 1991. The company was created to provide the early design assistance that is critical to burgeoning nonprofits that lack the necessary funds needed for early development planning. Each year, the Collaborative offers over 30 grants to organizations around the Philadelphia area. In 2007, the Collaborative launched Infill Philadelphia, a program to assist urban communities in envisioning the revitalization of existing spaces that have worn over time. The organization also offers the rStore program, which connects business or property owners in Philadelphia with design professionals.
