    Community Planting Day at Abington Junior High School with the support of the Carbon Fund – FREE


    Join us to plant trees and reinforce fences to enhance the existing buffer along East Baeder Creek. This creekside planting beautifies the campus, reduces erosion, protects water quality, and improves wildlife habitat along this Tookany Creek headwater stream.

     

    This project is in partnership with the Abington School District and Abington EAC and funded by the The PA Carbon Reduction Fund. The PA Carbon Reduction Fund is an initiative managed by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council in partnership with WGL Energy Services and Sterling Planet.

    Bird Walks in Olney at Fisher Park – FREE


    Join us for a 7:00 AM birdwalk in Fisher Park. May is spring migration time and this 25 acre park in Olney will be full of beautiful, brightly-colored birds just arriving from their winter homes in South America. Last year this morning walk turned had many species of warblers, scarlet tanagers and many more great birds.

     

    Meet at the driveway up to the Rec Center on Spencer St. Binoculars will be available to borrow. For a full list of the birds seen last year visit ebird.org. Check out the event flier here!
